Hey Everyone,
As we embark on week 3 of the Step it Up Challenge, I encourage everyone to stay on track. You are on your way to creating a habit so keep tracking those steps. To enter the draw for week 2, you need to show Tanee your log with 3 days of more of tracked daily steps for last week. That’s it!
For week 3, try and incorporate some moderate or vigorous activity into your daily repertoire. You won’t believe the impact that these little changes will have on your step count and your overall health. So this week’s challenge is to incorporate some activity into your routine and use the calculation below for your tracking sheet.
Note:
Every 1 minute of moderate activity = 100 steps and
Every 1 minute of vigorous activity = 200 steps
Moderate e.g. mowing the lawn, brisk walking, digging in the garden, medium paced swimming and cycling.
Vigorous e.g. jogging, fast cycling, shovelling snow, aerobics and active sports such as football, squash and basketball.
