Role Overview

I provide strategic support and advice to the Executive regarding efforts at the Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Inter-university levels. I also lead staff who are responsible for providing administrative support to the Board of Directors and Council.

 

Accountabilities

• Support the Executive with strategic advice, training, research and historical context as they implement their advocacy agenda.


• Work closely with the Secretary-Treasurer to ensure that the organization is following good governance practices and that we are in compliance with By-Laws, Policies and Procedures. Also provide advice and support to the Secretary-Treasurer related to elections.


• Ensure that the Board of Directors and Council are provided with training, information and administrative support so that they are able to govern the organization effectively.
