Role Overview

I provide remarkable hospitality to the students at Western University through its Wave, Spoke, catering and Western Film Locations. The Senior Manager of Hospitality will work with the executive to execute student experience by providing an efficient, safe and fun atmosphere at USC events. This position will also provide oversight in our licensed establishments to ensure that the requirements of our liquor license are being upheld.

 

Accountabilities

• Ensuring the decisions of the USC general manager and managing director facilities and operations are carried out


• Overseeing all F&B operations and execute each areas business plan in coordination with the Spoke Site Manager, Wave Site manager, catering manager & Western File Coordinator


• Managing Sales, budgets & finance


• Develop new business opportunities and ideas within the hospitality operations


• Execute FOH experience, security & customer service at large USC events


• Work with the USC student executive to develop platform ideas and ensure the student voice is being considered in all operational decisions


• Liaise with Events / compliance departments to ensure that student clubs,  residence and faculty events which involve F&B space and or catering are completed with 100% student satisfaction


• Work with finance to ensure that the Spoke, Wave, Western Film and Catering operations are financially viable and not a drain on USC resources


• Procurement of supplies and resources and the negotiation of hospitality contracts on behalf of the USC
